Video editing is the process of selecting and ordering a series of video images to create your program.

Non-linear editing involves digitizing video footage to the hard drive of a computer. Scenes, called "clips", are placed on a time line. Transitions and graphics are created and added. This allows a great deal of freedom and creative experimentation. Different versions of a visual sequence can be built quickly by re-arranging the clip order on the timeline.
